Old friends are like Gold

A few weeks ago, my two sisters have been pushing me to go and visit our friend dentist but I never had the time nor took the time to do so because of reasons I want to keep to myself. But yesterday for some reason, I was with my sister visiting my friend dentist, who by the way, has the same age as mine, and had a great chat over many things.
I realized that it's a great blessing to have established wonderful friendships in the past. As far as I can remember, we were once young and eager about the world- full of hopes and dreams about the future. Now, we are somehow living our dreams. I do not wish to say that we don't have challenges and worries now, but the great thing is that we have chosen paths that has helped us to become better and wiser. Now, I benefit from her and vice versa.
We all need one another. We may not see the need now nor do we befriend somebody because we expect to need her in the future but the important thing we must have is a genuine heart that accepts and loves anybody who comes into our lives. I am truly grateful to have old friends..indeed they are gold!
By the way, I have another old friend who's going to take the board exam to become a doctor. What another blessing would that again be!

Sunny Days!

I love sunny mornings! It gives me a feeling of optimism everytime I open my windows and see Mr. Sun shining brightly. I like it when my husband greets me with a kiss everytime I wake up and I get to look forward to a good and fruitful day ahead. My kids are like sunshine to me too. Their gentleness and innocence humbles me and makes me see life in a new light. Their energy and curiosity helps me to feel how it is to be a child wanting to discover new things. It's amazing to know how much i'm learning just being with them.
